Alfa Romeo is an Italian car manufacturer from Milan. It received its current name in 1920. Its sporting reputation was established early on by participating in various Grand Prix and eventually Formula 1. Enzo Ferrari, for example, started his career at Alfa Romeo before making a splash with his own Ferrari. Since then, that reputation has never really left him: anyone who thinks of Alfa Romeo still thinks of Italian design and sportiness.

Fortunately the Fiat group, to which Alfa Romeo belonged from 1986, also realised that Alfa Romeo had a strong image of its own and wanted to keep it. The characteristic design with the triangular grille in the middle had to be maintained, even if the number plates had to be moved to the side. The Alfa 156, 147 and GT and later the 159 and Brera are therefore very recognisable Alfa Romeo cars.
